PERPIGNAN'S BEARPIT
Obviously to both teams, Leicester this season, and Wasps over many, Twickers has become a second home, Leicester having played there twice so far this season, and Wasps having played there in various cup finals, and Double Headers at the start of each season. But the question is who will come out on top?
Tiger’s have taken the points in each game so far this season, a close game at Adams Park, finishing 13-19 in Tiger’s favour. And having out played Wasps in the Last domestic game of the season, the odds must be in their favour. But, as I’m sure Wasps’ fans will agree, we do have a good record at Twickenham
It must be said, over the last few years, Leicester and Wasps’ have done wonders for British Rugby, Leicester with their 4 league titles and 2 European cups in 4 seasons, and Wasps with 3 League’s, 1 Heineken, 1 Parker Pen, and a Anglo-Welsh cup in the process, I think it could be said that Wasps and Leicester have set a precedent in the last few years, not for just winning trophies, but for being consistent over the last few seasons.
One thing that must be obvious, is that it will be a feisty game. Lawrence against Corry, Eion against Harry Ellis's replacement Scott Bemand (if fit) and what with two very competitive front rows, this will be a game to be seen! Wasps have a thing about being dangerous at this time of the season, having beaten Gloucester, Bath and Leicester of all people in the Zurich Premiership final at Twickers over the years. So who do we all think will take the title of European Champions? For me, it’s too tight to call.
