Rugby Clothes Get a Sense of Humour
By Andy Stout September 1 2008
The oft-quoted rugby adage is "What goes on tour stays on tour". Not in this instance however, as three ERE posters have taken a drunken idea and used the time on their hands during the fallow rugby-less summer months to turn that idea into reality.

One of the things about dramatic alcohol consumption is that you often come up with great ideas that all of a sudden don’t seem quite so great once the booze has worn off and the headache has kicked in. Tattooing ‘I luv Danny G’ on your forehead, agreeing with Bod, signing for Glaws...that sort of thing. Every now and then though one of them sticks and, in the cold light of day, seems like just as good an idea the morning after as it did about 3am the night before.

The Eye Heart Bath Rugby clothing range is just that sort of idea. First conceived in a drunken discussion between Bath Rugby supporters and inveterate ERE posters Patrick, Sparksy and TRG on a European away trip last year, it has now become a fully-fledged clothing range and is available online at BlueBlackandWhite.com.

The Eye Heart Bath Rugby clothing fills a gap that they felt existed in the market – clothing with a sense of humour in a large range of items for both men and women, in Blue, Black and White and with no powder blue or baby pink in sight. In other words, the sort of clothing they wanted to wear themselves but couldn’t find anywhere.

Feedback from other Bath supporters so far has been very positive, so look out for the designs being worn both at the Rec and around and about in Bath. There are plans for a special Toulouse tour shirt and other designs in the pipeline, and the Eye Heart Bath Rugby team is always open to suggestions for new products or designs. The first “player shirt” shown here is intended to be the first of many, and any suggestions for how to best represent other players’ names would be welcome – there are a couple that have them absolutely stumped! Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu anyone?

You can see the full range at http://www.BlueBlackandWhite.com/ or by clicking their banner at the top of the ERE message board, and any comments or suggestions can be sent to info@blueblackandwhite.com.
