Summer News Round Up Part 1
By Paul July 11 2008
Other than Chrvis postponing his retirement and moving into coaching there isn't really any actual news around. Certain Welsh news outlets will more than happily churn out overly self important waffle corroborated by rent-a-quotes or misconstrued quotes. We wouldn't do that to you on this site, oh no we wouldn't.

Were keeping out of the “too many foreign players” argument” partly because were worried that someone from the Western Mail will leave a horses head in our beds, but mostly because we were worried about the mental trauma that we may inflict upon ourselves, due to our ever so slight knowledge of basic employment law and what living in a free market market economy means.

The ELV'S bad for rugby but good for Wales, so good. Not bothering with the set piece or contact area will really suit our game down to the ground, it's just a shame the IRB couldn't have done away with restarts as well, so we could play the Welsh Way™ even better.

We need to produce 30 world-class athletes. We probably have half-a-dozen players who need to improve physically to be able to compete with the best in the world,”

What does Gatland know? Him and his Kiwi idealism. Any nation that can produce and sustain the career of real athletes like Chris Wyatt is clearly leading the way in sports science.

Some other gems from rugby this week:

The Western Mail try to fuel the fires further between NZ and SA over "puppet-gate", I'm surprised they didn't keep on with the foreign theme and announce that Wales pro sides could field a NZ team that could beat the All Blacks.

Quality stuff mate

NZ exiles would certainly be a decent team.

I do try hard to come across as putting in as little effort as possible.

Classic All Blacks

Even Deacon Manu is a "classic" All Black.
