Xavier Rush leaves everyone feeling empty
By Paul July 25 2008
What are we all supposed to do without everyone's favourite thunder cat of a number-eight Xavier? Half a season without getting my regular “rush” will be tough. In fact I’m demanding that Mark Lewis wears a Xavier Rush mask for the next six months. Plus the latest coach not to be linked with Ospreys is no longer linked.

Basically Xav’s knackered his knee and it sounds nasty. Cardiff Blues have done well to actually find a ball carrier as influential as Rush but their over reliance on him has left a massive gap for them to fill, and let’s be frank Andy Powell and Mark Lewis are good players in their own right, but not good enough to clean Rush’s boot cleaners, boots.

No cunning plans

Apparently Todd Blackadder has ruled himself out of the Ospreys job, by becoming the new Canterbury Crusaders coach. I can’t actually remember him being ruled in enough to be ruled out. The Random Link Generator fails again.

Further more the Ospreys “galacticos” tag wearing to would appear to be wearing even thinner, despite Gavin Henson signing a new contract. A side in Spain’s top Rugby league, Copa del Rey de Rugby, Pozuelo Boadilla have been taken over by Real Madrid. Potentially this could lead to some confusion, in the future, I'm already confused enough thank you very much.

Yeah this whole Toulouse are the Manchester Utd of Rugby, why do commentators find the need to draw comparisons to football?? Rugby should not have any inferiority complex.

Rush, bad news and where is the big name signing for the Blues?
