England Rugby in June, another busy month lots going on in Rugby Land.! We had the Final round of the 2006/7 IRB Sevens held in Edinburgh. The 2nd and final summer test against South Africa. The England Saxons bidding for glory in the Churchill Cup. Graham Rowntree called up and RFU Council Nominations. Just a standard June folks!
The arrival of Alfred Joseph Simon Amor into the world this morning means that seasoned England Sevens player Tony Roques stepped into Simon Amor's shoes & took up the role of England Sevens Captain.

England Saxons win Churchill Cup This was England's first victory over the Maori in this tournament & 15th out of 16 under the Mallinder-West coaching partnership, regaining the trophy, winning the tournament for a record third time.

The 54-cap former England prop Graham Rowntree has joined the Rugby Football Union as a National Academy Coach from Leicester Tigers. Rowntree will start work on Monday with the England senior team as a specialist coach for the Rugby World Cup in France. England call for Rowntree
