England Rugby April 2008 In Review - Phew! What a packed month we had from our April Fool's Pink Jerseys, to our New England Team Manager, plus much more on the way.

Yes..........England Rugby has a NEW Team Manager - Martin Johnson. The best kept secret in town, NOT! Finally the Rugby Football Union  sealed the deal and have got their man. Whilst Martin may not have coaching certificates to his name, he has a very good rugby brain and I have no doubt will make a huge difference to the England Team moral and style

England Under 18s completed their Six Nations Festival campaign on a massive high recording a third consecutive win after a dominant 32-5 victory over Scotland at Musgrave Park RFC in Cork. England Sevens - What a disaster, unfortunately our Sevens squad went out for a duck down under not winning one game.  This is the worst performance from the England Sevens this year.

Barbarians - It was Academical - Yes it was ACADEMICAL My Dear Watson! Barbarians Win - A Fantastic evening and a historic occasion, with Edinburgh Accies celebrating their 150th birthday by welcoming the Barbarians . The Barbarians ran in seven tries as they claimed victory. Next Stop Twickenham and England v The Baa Baas on the 1st of June 2008

The fixture list has been announced for the 2009 RBS Six Nations championship. England will begin their campaign with a home game against Italy at Twickenham, followed by a trip to defending champions Wales at the Millenium Stadium. EDF NATIONAL TROPHY FINAL

EXETER CHIEFS 13 - 24 NORTHAMPTON SAINTS -  Thousands of Saints fans that made the trip to Rugby HQ were able to cheer on their newly promoted team as they completed the double over Exeter. Northampton Saints complete league and cup double

The IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy kicked off this month in Chile. Eight nations took part in this inaugural competition.  The eventual winner Uruguay took on their hosts in the final.   Chile 8 - 20 Uruguay.  Rugby Junior World Trophy Chile 2008

The Moz Memorial Match is an annual charity fundraising rugby match played between Bath supporters and Bristol supporters & is now in its fourth year  Bath & Bristol fans - Moz Memorial Match
