Southampton v Blackpool - Pooling Resources!
By Paddy Power August 29 2008
Whilst in the top flight, £200,000 will barely buy one bead of sweat from Frank Lampard's forehead, in the Championship it's still a sizeable amount of money. That's why Blackpool manager, Simon Grayson's decision not to play David Vaughan so far this season has been so baffling. Vaughan was signed from Real Sociedad over the summer, but has had to watch from the sidelines so far this season. "How long can I keep leaving a £200,000 player out?" said Grayson, conducting an interview of himself, "if we keep doing well I can leave him out all season" which explains why Vaughan is making his debut four games into the season. Can the Seasiders turn the tide by claiming a surprise win at Southampton? Sat. 12.45pm SS1
