After hearing that former boss Brian Kerr criticising the number of games Giovanni Trapattoni has been to see, the new Ireland boss initially replied; "Who?" After someone told him who Kerr was and they all stopped laughing heartily, Trapattoni cut his critic down to size; "If Jack Charlton was criticising me, I would be happy because he's a winner." Zing. He then went on to guide his side to a valuable away win over Georgia to kickstart their World Cup 2010 qualification campaign. He even had the pleasure of seeing Glenn Whelan put in a good performance and get on the scoresheet. Vindicating an inclusion which raised a few eyebrows when the teams were named. He faces another tricky trip to play FYR Montenegro but as long as Ireland win he won't Kerr who says what. Wed 6.30pm Set/RTE2
