Chiefs & CAB's

Chiefs
By Moorsman June 21 2007
Utility Back Pete Fisher is the latest former Exeter Chiefs player to join the Cornish All Blacks. He joins former team-mates Tony Roques, Richard Liddington and Stuart Alred at Polson Bridge. The side also feature former Chiefs - Keith Brooking and Richard John.

Devon and Cornwall - the Great Divide?

Exeter Chiefs will be fielding teams from a stronger squad of 41+ players this season.  Added to this several former players will be trying to help the Cornish All Blacks become an established team in National Division 1.

Utility Back Pete Fisher is the latest former Exeter Chiefs player to join the Cornish All Blacks.  He joins former team-mates Tony Roques, Richard Liddington and Stuart Alred at Polson Bridge.

Alred is on a loan deal for this season as is Richard Bolt who has been released for 1 year to the Cornish Pirates.

All of these players are sure of a great welcome when their new teams play at Sandy Park.  It will also be good to welcome back former Chiefs favourites, Richard John and Keith Brooking.

Is that like a stocking "filler" at Christmas, Moorsman, to keep the kids happy.

Not thought of it like that ianbol but I think you could be right. Unfortunately this lot can be unruly (Sm110)(Sm137)(Sm148)(Sm36)(Sm133)(Sm74) and I wouldn't want the job of trying to keep them happy.

I seriously believe that out of the 3 newbies CABs will still be here next season. (Esher and Northampton for the drop)

Ducks and awaits enemy fire!!!

I think Esher are putting a lot of effort into persuading the local community to agree their development plans. (Sm128) They want to sell some of the land they own to a property developer. This is supposed to fund a new stand and other 'sports facilties' for the local populace to use. Talking to some not very happy 'locals' recently, I think they have a fight on their hands. (Sm137) of course they wouldn't be able to buy a piece of ground to play rugby on in Esher.(Sm62)

Wishful thinking [in part] I suspect -- and, yes I think Lanson are up to staying up.

Genuinly sorry you are taking such flak from S.London. I really admire the constraint of you all.

Re: Chiefs & CAB's
If they brought some sensible argument to the debate we might take part sensibly. those rough girls from the east always want someone to pick on (sob sob). The best answer will be to stuff them home and away, which we will.

Looks like we're in for in it from east and west this season! Thank suck that Somerset doesn't have a team in our division!

But are they travelling fans, moorsman ? If so we, and I suspect all of us in this neck of the woods, are in for a serious culture shock.

G J. a Somerset club is still S.W., and infinately pref to the upper North, £'s wise.

I am disappointed that pete fisher has gone because I think he could have been useful as it is a squad game this season. I am still wondering where our last signing is there was supposed to be 3 and to date there was only the 2 new props. Lanson will find it hard but sides have shown that if they can survive the first season then who knows.

Has Esher got any male support, if so where are they?
There's a nice surprize for these young ladies when they meet our very own Cider Drinker at Brickfields, she frightens the life out of me and i'm ex R.N.
Good luck for the new season Chiefs, your squad looks strong, looking forward to our first meeting on the 2nd Sat. of course the first match were away to Esher, what a baptisim of fire for them.(Sm72)smileys with beer

Just a minute GJ - who's side are you on? There are no cowboys at Sandy Park and it's the Chiefs who will be doing the surrounding - starting on Sept 1st.(Sm42)

Moorsman - don't you know that the Burgers are obviously made by cowboys!

The beef might be fresh but the smell is like something out of Blazing Saddles!
