Nottingham push the Chiefs all the way in this final month setting up a very close finish by beating the Chiefs in the months first game. The final weekend saw both sides away, Nottingham at Coventry and Chiefs at Doncaster. Both sides come away with bonus point wins secured in the last few minutes. The Chiefs gaetting second place by virtue of winning more games.
April '08

April starts with an away defeat at Nottingham before a thumping win over Coventry.  The final match of the season sees the Chiefs win a thrilling match at Doncaster with the final play.  This win secured second place for the Chiefs with Nottingham taking third with the same number of points (the Chiefs won more games).

6thNottingham v Chiefs24 - 142nd

A poor start to the game sees the Chiefs playing catch-up rugby but they fail to get the losing bonus point.


19thChiefs v Coventry45 - 72nd

Coventry get blown away in the first half and go in at half time with the score 45 - 0.  The Chiefs fail to trouble the scorers in the second half but Cov get a converted try.


26thDoncaster v Chiefs17 - 252nd

In the final game the Chiefs know they have to win and pick up a bonus point to guarantee 2nd place.  With a few minutes to go it looks like Nottingham will take this spot but the Chiefs 'never say die' attitude sees a last minute winner from Kevin Barrett.
