Off to a blistering start with two tries in the first ten minutes, Glaws were always the better team, with Ryan Lamb winning his personal duel with Danny Cipriani – not for the first time. Cipriani was replaced before the game was an hour old.
Now Glaws go into the final game of the season at home to Bath knowing that one point will be enough to secure a home game in the play-off semi-finals. In fact, if Wasps fail to pick up maximum points at Newcastle in midweek, that will be enough.
The first Glaws win away to Wasps in 18 years could prove to be a turning point in the development of the team as Glaws showed that while they may still be a work in progress, that progress is clear for all to see and might be gathering pace.

Lamb and Cipriani exchanged penalties before Raphael Ibanez crossed for a Wasps try to make it 15-10 at half-time, but Olly Morgan’s try, made for him by JSD, restored the comfortable gap and although Ibanez scored again, Lamb’s penalty denied Wasps a losing bonus.
Glaws coach Dean Ryan came up with a bit of an understatement when he told the BBC: "It is important. We have a good record of finishing at the top. I want to try and maintain that next week but it is more important we get used to winning big games.
"Next week is an enormous game and whoever wins it will be at the top. We have double-banked Wasps in the league. They came into the game at Kingsholm on the back of five wins and we beat them. It shows we can compete at this level and we are in the play-offs.
"We have got to play in these type of games regularly and we will get better.

"We know we are a good side when we have the ball. But just because we won, it is not a guaranteed thing that we have matured.
"We have still got a lot of growing up to do. We still saw cracks today and on another day it might have been exploited."
