Glaws unchanged for Tigers showdown
By Cherry Picker May 16 2008
Gloucester have finished top of the Guinness Premiership table for the second season running and are regarded by many as the true champions, but now comes the hard part. As if finishing top wasn't difficult enough, Glaws now go into a Kingsholm semi-final againt Leicester Tigers for the right to face Bath or Wasps in the final at Twickenham.

There's a lot at stake anyway, but the fact that Tigers gave Glaws a good (well, bad actually) hammering in last season's final adds spice to what is sure to be a tense, nervy occasion in front of a sell-out crowd.
Dean Ryan has named an unchanged team against a Tigers side which, on paper, looks as good as any in the Premiership.
But the fact that Tigers have not hit their best form this season does not mean they will start as underdogs.
They are a big-game clu and, a big-game side full of big-game players, and Glaws will underestimate them at their peril.
Les celebrates tryAfter hitting good form in the late stages of the regular season, Glaws need to maintain that on Sunday, and we at Shedloads have a feeling that the big occasion could suit Lesley Vainikolo (right) down to the ground.
At the end of his first season in RU, Big Les can look back with some satisfaction on a campaign disrupted by injury, two family bereavements and being messed about by an England side that picked him for the Six Nations then didn't give him the ball.
It's not been easy for him, but he has come through it well and now that he has got used to the different code after his switch from RL, he would love to end the season in style and leave behind a taste of what he just might do next season as he and Glaws continue their development.
The fact that he was good enough to be picked for his adopted country says a lot, and Glaws fans know what he can do with the ball in his hands and a bit of space to run at.
he has done well, but he would love to do better and Sunday's game, with a trip to twikers as the reward, could be just right for him to show what a player he is.
It's going to be a day and a half on Sunday. Glaws are in form and at home, but Tigers are not a team to give in easily and the match promises to be as tight and tense as the last game of the regular season againt Bath.
