Glaws start HC campaign at Kingsholm

Gloucester’s six Heineken Cup group dates have been announced, the campaign kicking-off with a home game against French side Biarritz on Oct 11, and ending with a trip to France for the return on January 24. And there are some mouth-watering fixtures in between, including an away game against Cardiff Blues which has been switched to the Millennium Stadium.

That match is on October 19, a Sunday, when both clubs are expecting a big crowd for what in almost a derby match in the context of Euopean Cup Rugby.

Yes, could have been worse ... but 5.30 on a Sat is not my favourite time. At least the game in Cardiff is 3pm.

Don't rely too heavily on the dates and timings for the last two matches - they haven't been confirmed (only that they are on that weekend (Fri -Sun) and could change.
